Between the storms and gloomy weather, Moe’s Group has enjoyed a busy start to 2025 with plenty of varied projects completed.
Now this one was quite the project! Behind a very overgrown conifer hedge was a fence that had definitely seen better days. Our brief for this one was simple – completely remove the hedge and replace the fence with something that will stand the test of time and the worst of the weather. With concrete posts and gravel boards used for its construction, it’s safe to say that this new fence is built to last while at the same time it’s also opened up more garden space for our client.
With a lot of excess clay disposed of in the gardens of new build properties, drainage is a real problem for many home owners. Fortunately, our Moe’s Landscaping team is very experienced in rectifying this problem. Firstly, our small digger was utilised to remove the top layer of clay, which was replaced with shingle and then a layer of sand to give the new turf something easy to grow into. Now, this garden will drain and the grass will grow, making this the perfect place for spring and summer.
Another recently completed project was a general tidy-up of a garden and installing fresh edging to create some sharper lines and definition. Half round rails of different sizes were used to retain the lawn and the border for a clean and tiered look. It may be simple, but it’s definitely effective.
